What has this got to do with evidence of an intruder? Perhaps the very fact that FW was with him, John figured he’d have a witness to confirm his shock and disbelief upon opening the door and seeing the body. It would have been a bit awkward, don’t you think, if John purposely stayed clear of that room in order that Fleet found the body. You’ve cited John Douglas several times. Why haven’t you recognized the fact that his book was found in the Ramsey home? It’s reasonable to assume that if Mindhunter was in the home, then it was read. And if it was read, it’s reasonable to assume that John read Douglas’ statement that parents who kill will leave it to someone else to find the body. John’s an intelligent man. He read that he wasn’t supposed to find the body if he killed, and the whole ruse of this crime is that he didn’t kill, but an intruder did. And so it logically follows that to prove to witnesses he didn’t kill her, he’d find the body. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out!
