CBI found them consistent with fibers from the duct tape, black tights from the second floor laundry area, sham and duvet.
FBI found the black fibers from the pubic area could not be associated with the sham or duvet or the black tights.
The defense will ask, why did you have the FBI re-do the same test? How do you overcome the image of shopping?
How do you reconcile the results or do they discredit both of your labs?
& if the sham, duvet or tights did not leave the black fibers, then how do you prove that an intruder did not carry these fibeers into the house?
The defense will ask, have the fibers that were found on the duct tape, by the FBI, been compared with the other fibers in the case? If not, why not?
How do you prove they were not foreign to the house?
